Online Shopping Policy
We reserve the right to accept or reject orders placed with us. If we reject an order, we will let you know why within 5 business days and refund any money that you have paid us.
Whilst we endeavour to keep our stock levels up to date, there is a possibility the item you have ordered may recently be out of stock. In this unlikely event, we will refund you immediately and contact you via the email address supplied on your account. Refunds for out of stock items will be processed as quickly as possible, but may take up to three to five business days.
If there is an out of stock item you would like, please contact us for further information about resupply.
We may change the online prices at any time. In the unlikely event a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel any order placed and refund the full amount of the price paid.
Once an order is posted we take no responsibility for charges incurred at receiver's end as this can vary depending on the rules of customs in each country. Please check with your local customs office prior to ordering if you are unsure.
Online credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and will expire after 12 months.
Sale Items or Promotions
During busy sale periods, dispatch times for orders may vary up to one week.
Items from the sale section are deemed final, cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged.
Using code SHIPMEFREE (when applicable) applies to purchases over $250 only.
Delivery, Returns and Refunds

If there is no one available to accept your order upon delivery, you will need to contact the relevant carrier to arrange pick up (often from the carrier’s depot) or re-delivery. Common People accepts no liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including any indirect or consequential loss or damage) to you or any other person that is caused by missed deliveries or re-delivery. Please ensure your delivery details are correct at the time of order.
Being a natural product, Common People cannot guarantee the grain of product images on the website will match exactly that of your product.
Caring for your leather handbag:
Use an appropriate leather cream once a month to moisturise and prevent the skin from drying out; this will also protect your handbag against some general wear and tear. Please take care when wearing items such as denim or dark colours as leather is prone to migration or colour transfer. Please also take care to avoid contact with liquids. If your handbag does come in contact with excess water, it is best to leave air dry. Never use heat to accelerate the drying process. This will cause the leather to dry inconsistently. To avoid fading keep out of direct sunlight when not in use and always store in the original dust bag with stuffing to help it retain its shape.
Our payment gateway is power by Shopify. You will see COMMONPPL on your PayPal account. The name that will appear on your bank statement will be Common People Ltd. No credit card information is shared, kept or recorded by Common People Ltd.
Common People respects your right to privacy. We collect only the information necessary for us to complete your order or to contact to you regarding the status of your order. Common People have the utmost respect for our customers' privacy. In no way will we violate this philosophy. We will not release any information gathered about our customers.
Changes to Terms of Service
We may change the Terms of Service at any time. If we do, an amended version will replace the existing version on the Website. Your continued use of the website after any changes are made to the Terms of Service will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of those changes. If you object to any changes, you must discontinue your use of the Website. You are responsible for keeping up to date with any changes by regularly reviewing the terms and conditions.
